Conor McGregor fires back at Floyd Mayweather
Conor McGregor has responded to Floyd Mayweather Jr’s latest dig at him.
On Sunday night, Mayweather suggested he wanted to fight the UFC‘s lightweight champion inside the Octagon in a post on Instagram, in which he called ‘The Notorious’ a ‘certified b***h.’
McGregor soon got wind of Mayweather’s latest shot at him and fired back at the Michigan native with an Instagram post of his own, which included a picture of him elbowing Nate Diaz in their UFC 202 bout.
“A real elbow in a real fight,” the accompanying caption read.
Paulie Malignaggi pours cold water on Floyd Mayweather fighting in the UFC
McGregor’s former sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi doesn’t believe Mayweather will ever set foot inside the Octagon.
“Mayweather is just pulling everyone’s chains so to speak, especially McGregor fans who are so mad that their guy got beat up and smacked around,” he said at the launch of Ultimate BOXXER.
“They want to see Conor get his own back but Mayweather is teasing, he’s not going in the cage.”

“Listen, Floyd loves stirring the pot, man,” he told Fight Hype.
“Anything to get people talking, he loves it. Of course, eventually, he was going to do a little teaser for MMA.
“I can’t imagine in the sport of MMA, he’s an even older man…it’s hard for me to see,” said the super middleweight.”
