For SNES Classic Mini console owners in the United States, there’s a new deal online.
Unfortunately, though it’s a little more expensive than you would normally expect for the the Mini Super Nintendo.
Walmart currently have a deal on their website which is offering a Nintendo hardware bundle.
The new bundle costs just under $300 and comes with these items: a Nintendo SNES with Galaxy-Style 3DS XL and Mario Odyssey Amiibos.
As you might notice, none of these items will actually work with each other, the amiibos appear to be compatible only with Super Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo Switch.
But for anyone who is desperate, or just handily wants all these items, this currently one of the only options available.
“As stated online with regards to this Exclusive bundle, and due to the high-rate of demand for the SNES Classic, individual components of this bundle cannot be returned separately to Walmart and must be returned in full, unopened and 100% complete within the Walmart Return Policies and Guidelines,” the disclaimer reads.
“If you would like to purchase individual components, please do so by placing orders for each item separately.”
The SNES Classic Mini remains a very sought after commodity, especially heading towards the peak of the holiday sales season.
It was recently confirmed that the SNES Classic Mini outsold the PS4 and Xbox One in the month of October.
According to the latest NPD Group information, the Nintendo Switch was the top selling console that month in the United States, with the SNES Mini taking second place.
And if you think how limited Super Nintendo stock has been over the past few months, you can see how popular the Mini retro device is proving.
In other SNES-related news, Amazon has confirmed its Treasure Truck is coming to the UK, with London and Manchester set to be the first stops.
The Treasure Truck, which is designed to look like a classic funfair attraction, only contains one exclusive product or amazing deal each time it rocks up at a given location.
In previous years, Amazon has included sold-out items customers were unable to buy from its online retail store inside the truck.
Treasure Truck will initially pop up in Manchester and London several times a month. Each offer included in the truck is a surprise and customers will have to act fast to get their hands on the kit, with only limited stock on the truck.
After customers purchase the product in the Amazon app, they then select a convenient time and place to pick up the item at the Treasure Truck.
Products have included the sold-out Nintendo SNES Classic Mini, GoPro cameras with a 65 per cent discount, Hatchimals and the latest Harry Potter book, Amazon confirmed.
For those who are lucky enough to own both a SNES Classic Mini and a Nintendo Switch, the perfect device is being released very soon.
A new games controller is being launched that will reportedly be compatible for both gaming machines, making it easier to switch between the two.
8Bitdo are releasing their SF30 Pro Controller soon, which can be used to play games on Nintendo Switch, Windows, macOS, & Android platforms.
“The SN30 Pro is the world’s first, fully featured retro controller,” the official site description reads.
“It boasts a full button set with clickable joysticks, rumble vibration², motion controls, wireless bluetooth, rechargeable battery, home and screen shot buttons, and a USB-C connector. Not to mention a proper d-pad.
“8Bitdo controllers are designed to be as versatile as possible with each of your modern devices. Easily pair your controller as an X-input or D-input device via bluetooth.
“You can even use it as a wired USB controller with the included USB cable. We’re regularly updating the firmware with new system compatibility like the Nintendo Switch, Raspberry Pi, Retron5 and more.”
While the SNES Classic Mini is not listed among the compatible devices, that may be because an 8Bitdo retro receiver will be needed for wireless play.
This will also help to remove the issue with the existing wired controllers being a little on the short side for those who own a SNES Classic.
